Advantage Business Marketing and Technium Partner to Spur R&D Innovation Community and Accelerate Breakthroughs

Technium and R&D are joining forces to build an active and engaged Innovation Community to turn great science into great solutions that solve the world's pressing problems and create the next generation of entrepreneurial scientists by engaging the graduate and PhD researchers at U.S. and international universities.

Advantage Business Marketing, which publishes the prestigious R&D Magazine and its affiliated programs, including the R&D 100 Awards, has announced a new partnership with Technium, a technology company using its proprietary open platform to help entrepreneurs and researchers discover, validate and launch deep technology companies. "Our mission is to break down barriers and open doors wide for the next generation of R&D professionals who are looking for progressive ways to launch their breakthroughs and, ultimately, make an impact in science," said Bea Riemschneider, Editorial Director, R&D Innovation Pillar.

Technium and R&D are joining forces to build an active and engaged Innovation Community to turn great science into great solutions that solve the world's pressing problems and create the next generation of entrepreneurial scientists by engaging the graduate and PhD researchers at U.S. and international universities. "We are extremely excited to nurture our massive R&D audience with actionable challenges that involve them on a whole new level of participation," said Bruce Cummings, CEO of Advantage.

The inaugural R&D Breakthrough Summit, slated for Austin, Texas in June 2019, will connect individuals in business, academia and scientific start-ups in an unconventional formula of networking and experiential learning. The multi-year partnership will bring the R&D Innovation Community together to explore society's challenges through a series of new offerings, programs, videos, awards, competitions and an active online community.

"We started Technium because we saw a huge unmet need in the scientific and venture community to aggregate the best inventors and inventions and make them easily accessible to the most experienced tech entrepreneurs to build new ventures," said Jonathan Van, COO of Technium.
